New venue: Maysara Winery in McMinville Oregon

I got the pleasure of touring the new Maysara Winery venue last week. They are still in construction phase but this place is AMAZING!

As you drive in the vineyard is on your left. You turn a corner, go up a little hill and you are facing a huge building with 3 large stone arches. The arch to the far right is where they are having events at this time.
Inside the walls are constructed of stone and the wood from wine barrels.
I was really wind they day I was there and the wind had blown all the little trees over, but here is a shot of one of the inside event spaces.
Under the stairs is a built in bar with just enough room for your bartender to stand and be out of the way of the festivities.
The stairs lead up to the brides room. Beautiful hard wood floors, a bathroom on the main level and a loft with another full bath make this the ultimate getting ready room!

Outside from the second story is a large patio that over looks a lower patio. It is surrounded by a stone wall that matches the stone work on the front of the building and inside the event space. Once the landscaping is completed this will be an amazing view in any direction you look.
Down a large stone stairway you are on the lower patio. Use your imagination in these pictures. Lush green grass will eventually surround this patio. It is breathtaking with all the stone and forest views.

We walked back around the to the front of the building and into the tasting room. Which would be perfect for a small intimate event. Again the walls are stone and the side of the double doors are made of wine barrel wood.

I I was amazed by the beauty of this venue and it is not even finished yet. It is truly unlike any other venue in our area. They do offer tables with the rental and you can use any caterer you like. You must serve Maysara wine and they will contract beer and champagne for you. I purchased a bottle of their Jamsheed Pinot Noir while I was there, very tasty!!

Construction is slated to be finished in the next 6-12 months. If you would like more information on this wonderful venue please let me know. I can't wait to see it this spring when landscaping is started!!

A new Oregon wine country wedding venue.

I recently got to tour the new Legacy Vineyard, the Estate Property for Eola Hills Winery. The first venue site will be opening in 2012 for weddings and events with construction on more development stages continuing to include 2 more venue sites and estate.

The perfect Oregon wine country wedding venue! "Nestled in the Eola-Amity Hills (west of Salem), the 162 acre parcel is surrounded by plush forest land, gently flowing creeks, and breathtaking views of the western coastal range and Willamette valley." from Eola Hills Winery page.

This venue is truly AMAZING!! It takes all the elements I love of a vineyard wedding, combines it with the a serene forest setting, including a lake with a waterfall and is in a wonderful location. Located just minutes from downtown Salem off Hwy 22.

The following photos are from the first phase of construction to be complete and ready for weddings in 2012. They are already booking dates for 2012 and I am sure once it is complete dates will book fast! These photos do not do it justice (they are from my cell phone camera). I was in complete awe as I was walking around. I can't even imagine how beautiful it will be once it is completed!!

In the background, to the right of the old tree in the area that looks like a dirt road is where the underground tasting room will be. Once complete you will be able to use it as a bar to serve your guests.

Hard to see in this picture but the area in the background is one of the vineyards.

I will be doing an inspiration shoot (mock wedding) here in late July with Tara Frances Photography. We are told the grapes will be growing then, so make sure you check back for photos!!

Love and happiness,
Morgan

My tour at Mansion at Bayou Golf Course

The Mansion at Bayou Golf Course.

Wedding venue
I had the opportunity to meet with Irmi Brown at The Mansion at Bayou Golf Course today. I had contacted Irmi about coming to tour because of some wonderful photos I saw on their website. Let me just tell you, the photos don't do justice to the actual beauty of the Mansion and the garden surrounding it! I love places that have history and personality and this place is full of it!  Irmi couldn't have been nicer, you will love working with her if you have your wedding or party here!

The Mansion can host up to 300 guests for an outside wedding in the garden and 55-60 for an inside wedding. They have 2 different inside rooms one downstairs and one up. The upstairs room is called the Starlight Room actually has stars cut out in the ceiling with light that shines through. It has a bar area in the corner, a platform area that can be used for anything from the DJ area to cake cutting, a beautiful fireplace and plenty of natural light. There is a spacious brides room with an attached restroom and closet, and a grooms room with an attached restroom that are also on the upper floor.

The outside garden area is beautiful! There is a paved area that can be used as a dance floor (you won't have to pay to rent one :). ) The gazebo is perfectly placed with the golf course framing it as the background. Plenty of large trees provide wonderful shade and with all of the beautiful flowerbeds Irma keeps looking pristine not a lot of extra decorations are needed.  There is even room for a tent should you need one, knowing our lovely Oregon weather its always a good idea to have a bad weather back up plan.

If you are still looking for that perfect place for your wedding I highly suggest taking time to go and tour The Mansion at Bayou Golf Course. It is in McMinnville which is centrally located between Salem and Portland and the drive is beautiful.
Let me know if you are planning a tour, I would love to go with you!

I hope you enjoy and please remember I am not a photographer! I took these with my cell phone because I wanted to be able to show you some of the beauty I saw today. As I said before pictures can't do it justice :)

Love and Happiness,
Morgan
